TIRWAL goes FIFTH with his v2.2ES091223 FIRMWARE

SANTA has come a little earlier this year and has brought TIRWAL’S fifth FIRMWARE release.

CHANGES AND CORRECTIONS

Some bugs have been corrected and there are some changes in system messages definitions.

WARNING!!!: “lib” directory for “hot swap” of libraries does not work anymore. 

COOLREADER
COOLREADER is installed with Spanish hyphenation files from  JOTAS and SOLSTICIO (esJOTAS y esSOLSTICIO). Spanish hyphenation standard files from BUGGINS version are also included.
.INI files: ARIAL 24 is the new default font; and the program will show the cover page of the book. No clock in status bar by default because it didn’t run properly anyway.


BOOKSHELF ENHANCEMENTS
Painstakingly editing of binary files has changed the pagination string from “(page)n OF NN(pages)” to “n/NN” which makes it compatible with all system languages.

PERHAPS THE NEXT TIME…
TIRWAL has been working on the rationalization of localization features but it seems that different languages use different approaches for menu configuration so that line of work has been put on hold for the moment.

20091224 CORRECTION
TIRWAL himself has been so kind to note that:  “Hot Swap” library change using SD:\LIB directory functionality WORKS FINE. It fails only with new DJVU 1.4 because an auxiliary library and system messages definition had been changed for this DJVU version. That makes neccessary to compile it within the FIRMWARE. If you try it copying it in “SD:/lib” no menus will be available.
